Named for the third “survival priority”, fire, the SP3 K ITv1 was initially developed as a low profile, emergency fire starting kit for everyday carry (EDC) in urban environments. As such, it uses the inconspicuous form factor of a ballpoint pen to help it fly under the radar.

However, don't let the unassuming form factor distract you. This fire starting kit is unlike anything else on the market and includes patent pending components that are designed and developed for compact effectiveness. As such, hunters, campers, backpackers, wilderness Search and Rescue, and other Adventurers who need ultralight fire starting provisions will also appreciate its reliability, adaptability, form and function.

What's included:

The major components of the SP3 K ITv1 include a micro ballpoint pen, our sharpened tool steel TS S TRIKER , a piece of reliable FS T INDER (Patent Pending), and the compact SP3 F ERRO (Patent Pending). Also included is a sandpaper patch which can be wrapped around the pen body for easy field maintenance of the TS S TRIKER edge, if needed.
